Richard Sargent Lawson² (William Lawson¹) was born 1836, and died April 06, 1862.... killed in Battle of Shiloh, Civil War w/ 13th Arkansas Infantry.  He married Martha Jane Damron, daughter of George Damron and Mary Low.

Children of Sargent Lawson and Martha Damron are:

           i.          Mahaley Lawson, born October 1857 in Arkansas; died 1935 in Izard
My Line             County Arkansas,  buried Violet Hill Cemetery¹.   She married John
                   Moses Barnes.

          ii.         Mary Lawson, born October 29, 1859 in Arkansas; died in Shawnee,
                       Oklahoma, buried Blackburn Chapel Cemetery - Bethel Acres².

         iii.         Sargent S Lawson, born 1861.

Notes for Sargent Lawson:
Sargent Lawson and Martha Jane (Damron) were listed in the the Craighead County census in 1860.  Sargent was killed in the Civil War - Battle of Shiloh, April 6, 1862.  Martha Jane and her three children Mahaley, Mary, and Sargent were in Searcy County in 1870, and in 1880 she and her two children, Mary and Sargent were living in Izard County, Newhope Township, household #266.  Her daughter Mahaley was married to John M. Barnes and living in household #264.
Martha Jane's parents, George and Mary Ann (Low) Damron were living in household #92, Newburg Township, Izard County Arkansas.
