James Johnson, Jr.

The following information was sent to me by Delbert Bryant, researcher.  At this time, I have found no connection between this JOHNSON line and mine, but I  have connections to Lucinda's CHENEY line.

                    James Johnson, Jr.  was born September 5,1866 in Calico Rock, Izard County Arkansas; died December 18, 1950, in North Little Rock, buried Bayou Metro Cemetery, Jacksonville, Arkansas.¹  He married Lucinda Cheney,²  October 18, 1886 in Izard County Arkansas, daughter of Marcus Cheney and Sarah A Hunter.  She was born  December 6, 1869 in Missouri ; died July 12, 1950, North Little Rock , Arkansas, buried Bayou Metro Cemetery.¹

Children of James Johnson and Lucinda Cheney are:

               i.          James Clinton Johnson, born August 6, 1887 in Melbourne, Izard County Arkansas, died
                           April 14, 1978, Tulare, California.  He married Emma Lucinda Crownover, July 1, 1908,
                           Marion County Arkansas.  She was born April 19, 1890, Yellville, Marion County Arkansas;
                           died May 6, 1961, Modesto, California.

              ii.          William Pinkney Johnson, born February 5, 1889 in Arkansas, died July 10, 1936; married
                           Dora Frances Collins, June 3, 1911; born April 13, 1896, died June 21, 1983, buried
                           Jacksonville, Pulaski County Arkansas.

             iii.          Jesse Horace Johnson, born November 20, 1892 in Arkansas, died November 22, 1945.

             iv.          Robert Calvin Johnson, born January 24, 1894 in Arkansas.

              v.          Edward Johnson, born August 25, 1897 in Arkansas.

             vi.          Auguston Johnson, born November 20, 1900, died November 24, 1900.

            vii.          Mary Jane Johnson, born October 14, 1901, died October 23, 1901.

           viii.         Warner WhitlowJohnson, born February 11, 1903 in Arkansas, died June 1987, Benton,
                           Saline County Arkansas; married Lucille, 1930, died August 7, 1985.

             ix.          Osby Reese Johnson, born December 21, 1906, died September 15, 1907.

              x.           Joseph Bryant Johnson, born January 30, 1911, died February 25, 1973 in Virginia.
