Descendants of James Johnson

                       
                            James 1 Johnson  was born circa 1785 in Virginia, died betwen 1850 and 1860 in Wayne County Kentucky.  He married Rebecca Farris, March 17, 1803 4 in Pulaski County Kentucky.  Rebecca was born circa 1787 in Lincoln County Virginia. 1

      The date is 17 March 1803.   This is from Volume 1, Marriage Records of Pulaski County Kentucky,
      compiled by Annie Walker Burns, R 1, Box 119, Bennings,  Washington, D.C., dated 1936, on file at the
      Filson Historical Society in Louisville, KY."
5.   Info from Lyman Reynolds:   "Wiley .....married Lucy Rousseau in Wayne County, bond dated 14 July 1840.
     Lucy was the d/o John Rousseau who gave consent for the marriage because Lucy was underage."

Wiley and Wesley apparently were twins.  They and their families were shown living in the same household in the 1860 Wayne County Census record.

On page 271B of the 1850 Wayne County Kentucky Census, James and Rebecca Johnson are shown living in household 477/455 with three unmarried males, Wesley, 31, Green, 42, and Halcom, 44, apparently their sons.
On page 277B is listed my ggggrandfather, Washington Johnson, hh524/534, and his son, William, my gggrandfather, hh525/535, with his son (James)Washington, who is my ggrandfather.
On page 251 is listed Peter in hh 158/164, and next door is Barney, hh 159/165.
On page 251B is listed Robert in hh 172/178.

Rebecca , 78, is listed on the 1860 Wayne County Census living in the household of Halcom Johnson, age 56.
Apparently, James had died before that time.

My line is:

James, born cira 1785.
   (Sons: Peter, Halcom, Robert, Green, Washington, Wesley, Wiley.)
Washington, born circa 1810.
   (Sons:  William, James Granville, Nimrod, John.)
William, born circa 1830.
   (Sons:  James Washinton, John Wesley.)
James Washington, born 1849.
   (Sons:  John W, Granville, James W, Marcus, Andy, Riley.)
Granville, born 1873.
   (Sons:  Hobart Granville, Noah Elmer, born 1902.)

Will have to do some more research.
*  There is a problem here with the age of Peter being 49 and his parents only 14 and 16 years older, which seem unlikely to me, but info posted by Carl B Johnson at  http://members.tripod.com/~WayneCoKY/peterk.htm  shows the birthdate of Peter to be 1803, which would make him age 47 instead of 49.
