James B. Barnes  was born November 08, 1818 in Tennessee, and died  in Izard County  Arkansas, after 1880 and before 1900,  buried Violet Hill Cemetery.  He married Elizabeth Copic, born circa 1821 in Tennessee, died November 10, 1889 in Izard County Arkansas, , buried Violet Hill Cemetery.

Children of James Barnes and Elizabeth Copic are:

            i.          Martha E. Barnes, born December 24, 1844 in Madison, Tennesee; died
                        December 01, 1916 in Izard County Arkansas, buried Forest Chapel
                        Cemetery.  She married James Verner.¹
 
           ii.        John Moses Barnes, born April 1848 or  1849 in Tennnessee;  died
 My Line          1922 in Izard County Arkansas,  buried Violet Hill Cemetery.  He married
                       Mahaley Lawson circa 1872.

          iii.       James F. Barnes, born circa 1859 in Arkansas.

James and Elizabeth are not listed in the 1900 Census so James must have died before that time.  Elizabeth's date of death  is listed in Carroll Hayden's Cemeteries of  Izard County Book as November 10, 1889, but her birth date is listed as November 26, 1809, which seems to be incorrect.  James's date of death is not listed.
