Hiram Jones

 His siblings were  John W Jones , Gideon Jones , and Mary J Jones.*

           Hiram Jones ³ (George Jones ², William Jones¹) was born 1860 in Missouri, and died between 1903 - 1906 in Izard County  Arkansas, buried Jones/Conrad Cemetery.  He married Elizabeth Hicks  circa  1877 in Missouri.

Children of Hiram Jones and Elizabeth Hicks are:

My Line     i.          Laura Jones, born September 19, 1879 in Missouri; died January 30, 1973 in Oxford,
                             Arkansas, buried Oxford Cemetery.

               ii.          Mittie Jones, born February 1883 in Arkansas; died in Izard County  Arkansas, buried
                            Jones/Conrad Cemetery.  She married  Andy Johnson July 23, 1902 in Izard County Arkansas.

              iii.          Sim Jones, born April 12, 1884 in Arkansas; died March 1969 in Success, Arkansas.

               iv.         Amanda Jones, born July 1887 in Arkansas.

                v.        Owen Jones, born November 1889 in Arkansas.

               vi.        Mat Jones, born January 01, 1892 in Arkansas; died February 25, 1967 in Fulton
                         County, buried Izard County, Pineville Cemetery.

              vii.       William Jones, born February 1894 in Arkansas.

             viii.       Samantha Jones, born April 1898 in Arkansas; died January 17, 1973 in Poinsett County
                          Arkansas, buried Bolivar Cemetery, in or near Harrisburg.

              ix.        Nancy Jones, born circa 1901 in Izard County Arkansas; died September 7, 1992, buried
                          Combs Cemetery, Izard county Arkansas.

               x.       Dennison Jones , born 1903 in Arkansas.
 

Notes for Hiram Jones:

*  The 1870 Texas County Missouri Census shows four JONES children:  Johns W, 15, Gideon, 13, Hiram, 10, and Mary J, 8, living in the household of Jane Chaney.

The 1880 Douglas County Missouri Census show Hiram, 19,  and wife Elizabeth, 19, and 7 months old Laura A, living next door to Gideon Jones, 22, and wife Catherine, 24, Rose, 6, Mary F, 3, John, 2 months
The 1900 Izard County Arkansas Census shows Hiram to be 43, b. July 1856, and Elizabeth, 39, b. August 1860, living in Athens Township.
BLM records show Elizabeth Jones homesteading 80 acres in Izard County August 10, 1906.  Apparently, Hiram had died before that time.  The 1910 Izard County Census shows Elizabeth to be 45, now married to Thomas J Hodge, 37, living in Claiborne Township.

John W Jones,  ( brother of Hiram) is shown in the 1880 Douglas County Missouri Census to be age 23, and wife Rosanna to be 21.  The 1900 Izard County Arkansas Census shows John W Jones, 45, b. Feburary 1855, and wife Rose A, 43, b. April 1857, and their children living in Claiborne Township.
The 1920 Izard county Census shows John W to be 64, and Rosanna to be 57.
Rosanna's maiden name was Chaney (Cheney).  She was a sister of Susan M Cheney, wife of James Washignton Johnson.

The 1900 Izard County Arkansas Census shows Gideon, 46, b. May 1854, and  Kate, 46, b. April 1854, and their children, living in Claiborne Township.
In the 1910 Izard County Arkansas Census,  Gideon, 54, and Kate, 53, are living in Claiborne Township.
