Gideon Jones

This is the info I have found on my Jones line.....with the help of researchers and descendants Joan Sukow,    Albert Kirkland,   Mary Jones.

           Gideon Jones ² ( William¹) was born circa 1839 in Indiana;  died February 2, 1903 in Izard County Arkansas, buried Flat Rock Cemetery.  He married (1) Nancy Jane Piles ¹ September 1, 1858 ² in Ozark County Missouri.  Nancy was born circa 1841 in Missouri.He married  (2) Mrs Nancy Hutson  November 17, 1897
(3) Birtie Hicks June 4, 1900. ³

Children of Gideon Jones and  Nancy Jane Piles are:

                i.            William Jones, born circa 1859 in Missouri.

               ii.           Sallee Jones, born circa 1860 in Missouri.

              iii.           Matilda Jones, born circa 1862 in Ozark County Missouri.²

              iv.           George Jones, born circa 1866 in Izard County Arkansas.

               v.           John Jones, born circa 1870 in Izard County Arkansas.

              vi.           Mariah Jones, born circa 1872 in Izard County Arkansas.

           vii.        Alla Jones, born circa 1874in Izard County Arkansas.

                  ^viii.            Gideon Jones, Jr, born circa 1878 in Izard County Arkansas.

1.   Carroll Hayden's Book "Cemeteries of Izard County Arkansas" show the wives of Gideon Jones to be (1) Mrs. Nancy Hutson and
       (2) Birtie Hicks, m. June 4, 1900.
