                               George Damron was born January 08, 1816 in Illinois, and died May 11, 1896 , buried Old Philadelphia Cemetery - Izard County Arkansas.  He married Mary Ann Low, May 22, 1836 in Hardeman County Tennessee.  Mary Ann was born circa 1818 in Georgia.

Children of George Damron and Mary Low are:

My Line      i.           Martha Jane Damron, born circa 1837 in Tennessee.  She married
                              Richard Sargent Lawson.
                ii.           Mary C Damron, born circa 1840 in Tennessee.
               iii.          Cynthia A Damron, born circa 1841 in Mississippi.
                iv.          John Sherwood Damron, born circa 1842 in Tennessee.  He married
                              Mary Ann Allison.
                 v.          Barbara Emaline Damron, born March 1844 in Tennessee.  She
                             married Thomas Harrison Allen 1865.
                vi.          Frances Matilda Damron, born circa 1847 in Tippah, Mississippi.  She
                              married Thomas Fletcher Johnson in Jacksonport, Arkansas.
               vii.         George Damron, born circa 1848 in Mississippi.
              viii.         Sarah Damron, born circa 1851 in Jackson County Arkansas.
                ix.        William Damron, born circa 1854 in Arkansas.
                 x.         Samuel Damron, born circa 1855 in Arkansas.
                xi.         Henry B Damron, born circa 1860 in Arkansas.
               xii.         Caroline Damron.

Notes for George Damron:
In 1880 George and Mary Ann (Low) Damron were living in the household of Thomas Johnston (Johnson) and Frances (their daughter) - Household #92, Newburg Township, Izard County Arkansas.  George died in 1896 and in the 1900 census Mary Ann was shown to be living in household #71, Newburg Township, next door to Frances M. Johnson, widow,  mother-in-law of John W. Reid.

Notes for Sargent Lawson:
Sargent Lawson and Martha Jane (Damron) were listed in the the Craighead County census in 1860.  Sargent was killed in the Civil War - Battle of Shiloh, April 6, 1862.  Martha Jane and her three children Mahaley, Mary, and Sargent were in Searcy County in 1870, and in 1880 she and her two children, Mary and Sargent were living in Izard County, Newhope Township, household #266.  Her daughter Mahaley was married to John M. Barnes and living in household #264.
Martha Jane's parents, George and Mary Ann (Low) Damron were living in household #92, Newburg Township, Izard County Arkansas.
